Decent UFAs for Patriots to target

Mewelde Moore might be of some interest to this team. Decent young player, Kevin Faulk type.

Didn't Belichick think highly of him in the draft? I thought I heard from someone here he was targetted with the pick we ended up spending on Cobbs.

Why would you pick Drayton Florence over Marcus Trufant or Asante Samuel. Florence isn't that good of a CB.

Your signings beyond Haggans and Pace really don't make a whole lot of sense. BTW, Haggans is an OLB, and would have to learn the ILB in the Pats system, which is different than it was in the Steelers system.

I don't have confidence in Matt Cassel as a backup....I wouldn't be surprised if Cassel is moved and they bring in a vet backup and keep Gutz......

Ron Dayne is way over the hill and has never lived up to his potential........Ben Troupe could be interesting....he came out ahead of Watson in the draft and was great at Florida.......he may be worth a look......

Berrian....some have said he is avail.....would much rather see him here than Marty Booker......

Drayton Florence is the best cornerback on the FA market after Trufant who will be prohibitively expensive.
Florence is big and fast and is within budget. Could be a good replacement for Samuel.

Not exactly a UFA, but I can't start new topics and there isn't a really good place to put this. But I was reading something that the Falcons are entertaining offers for DeAngelo Hall. I would much rather have D'lo than a CB taken in the 1st round this year (if thats the direction NE goes). Yeah he has an ego and will want a big payday when his contract is up, but he is a legitimate young shutdown corner.

I completely agree with this...I think D.Hall is a great corner and can contribute immeadiately and could possibly be another New England success story.

How about a sign and trade to save CAP more for the Falcons than us (Miguel?). The Falcons need a WR. Sign the extension on Donte and swap Stallworth for Hall?
Can that be done rather than let him walk for nada?

*ROFLMAO* Sorry, you must be a Chargers fan in disguise because Florence doesn't PLAY fast. Yes, he's 6' but that is hardly BIG. Not when Samuel weighs as much as Florence does and Samuel is only about an inch shorter.

Florence also has an attitude problem. Or did you not bother to watch the game 2 years ago against the Chargers when Florence head-butted Daniel Graham and helped San Diego LOSE that game?

Trufant was franchised, so of course he's prohibitively expensive.

what makes you think cassell is so bad that we would move him? he's never had to start a game(thankfully).

ben troup is inconsistant, though that could be because his current q.b. cant hit the broad side of a barn until the 3rd quarter.

c.b.?? id rather d-hall over drayton anyday, but thats too much money, that we dont have...yet. i still think jaquez reeves might be a cheap project at c.b.

berrian, and booker. i just dont see the need for either.
