DeAndre Jackson (CB, Iowa State) Height: 5'11.3" Weight: 196lbs.
Strength: Size, good playing speed, good quickness, high points the ball, breaks up a lot of passes, good spacing in zone coverage, has outstanding instincts, good route reading ability, nice footwork, doesn't get out of position often, play maker with ball skills, will jump routes, technically sound, good ball skills, plays physical, hard hitter, good kick returner and coverage man, plays with aggression, good in run support, has a high motor, slips blocks/reads blocks well, good tackler, and good blitzer.
Weakness: Coming off an ACL tear, doesn't have great recovery speed and could improve his burst, can give to big of a cushion, hips could be more fluid, can take to long to diagnose the play, sometimes he'll takes bad angles in pursuit, good tackler, but can be inconsistant at times.

I watched some of Jackson's video over this past week, and it made me remember some of the things I liked about him. Just watching his highlights will remind you a little of a taller Hobbs, which should put him right on NE's radar. Obviously he's been recovering from an ACL injury, but this could make him a fifth round steal. I think he's an underrated talent, who would fit NE's defense well.
