I heard from a few sources that they had to "take his helmet away from him", like he was going to try to run out there if they let him keep his helmet. Definitely nice to have some underdogs on the team who just love to play football, makes it more fun to root for them as opposed to manic depressive prima donnas.

I think BB said they just never saw a reason to put him back in, I don't think anyone ever said he couldn't go back in meaning probably no concussion. Just playing it safe. Chances are he's better than ok and can't wait to go. My worry is Hernandez who hasn't played or practiced in awhile.

Agreed. He's been out for, what, 3 weeks already (hip)? Also, Cunningham and Moore and Volmer missed last week so will be curious to see who practices today.

I know concussions are a different beast, but re: Hernandez, I've heard numerous NFL players saying "it's the playoffs. If you can walk, you're playing."

I think Hernandez not only plays, but rips the Jesters a new one.

It would be legendary i the Pats rested some starters from mid-game on. Obviously didn't need Wes and Branch or Hern to chew up the Phish. That has to put a scare into the Jesters.

exactly, his name isn't smushhead... I mean I am almost positive Woodhead will be at 100% for the game. I doubt he had an actual concussion, and the Patriots took him out of the game because it wasn't worth letting him play after that hit. When they take him out with what they characterize as a "head" injury, everyone immediately says "concussion!" Now Jets fans (and presumably Jets personnel) are just hoping he doesn't play. Looks like head games to me (no pun intended)
