Cyrus Jones Calls Rookie Season An "Embarrassment" On Social Media

I think he will be fine. Yes he has had a nightmare, but when you play any sport at a high level, and you feel your letting everyone down, it is a very lonely place to be, im talking from experience. I am sure he will come back and show us all what he can do. You just don't give up on him, after a bad season its ridiculous.

Hes a stand-up guy. Wont be the first rookie who struggled. But hes got talent and a great attitude. Could be a total turnaround season for him. especially if ryan goes Pats are gonna need him
I wonder if it might have been different for him had the Pats not been robbed of a first round pick last year. Then had Jones been the second Pats pick rather than their first, there would have been less pressure on him whether real or perceived.....

Never seen BB give a player that many chances like he game Cyrus Jones. It was surreal, I was wondering what he had to do before being made inactive. I guess giving the Ravens hope was the last straw, noway we were going to take him to Denver.

He returned a punt again in a game after the Ravens (Rats?), and I think it was a fair catch or caught and then immediately went out of boinds.

BB still gave him a chance, so we'll see him get another chance in 2017.

Am I the only one who wish Cyrus kept that to himself??? Patriot Nation is well aware of his timely fumbles last season. Rookies have growing pains but it's nothing to beat yourself up for Cyrus. I hope he's not a wack job like D Easley.

So what do you think about Blount beating himself up for his fumble in the Superbowl?

He clearly did as the post SB videos showed.

Feeling bad and guilty is a good thing because it shows he cares. Nothing pisses me off more than a player who does not care after a mistake or losing. However, I hope he also knows not to let those disappointed feelings get in the way but uses them as motivation instead.

I came across a quote by Jones where he said there was a point in the season that he didn't even want to play in the games.

Not really what you want to hear. Of course I totally understand why he'd feel that way but the real competitors always want to be on the field no matter what.

In any case best of luck to him this upcoming season.

Taking ownership of failure is the first step toward making himself an asset for 2017. I think he will be and we need him. He may play into the decision making going on right now this offseason. If Logan Ryan goes hopefully he will take advantage of the opportunity.

His special teams blunders were pretty egregious, so the fans were screaming for his head. However, I seem to recall that he actually played pretty well on defense for a rookie.

I also seem to recall that Logan Ryan's first few years with the team weren't all that great (to put it mildly).
