Given $7 and $10 M cap rises forecast, now I can see many teams betting on the future headroom with contract largesse.
 
Considering how much the cap is growing in the next two years, we should extend McCourty before FA, lowering his 2014 cap hit while locking up our secondary leader long term. We can afford to give him high cap hits in 2015-2016 considering the Prisoner won't count against the cap and the team can discard most of its bad contracts in 2015. (Gregory, Mankins, Amendola if he underperforms again)
