I've had just about enough of all this Detroit bashing !

On the serious side : who cares where he goes ? As long as comp is good, I could care less about matt Cassel. I'm a Patriots fan, not a player fan. Players fandom is for fantasy fb.

I don't know, some players (like Cassel, Givens, Willie Mac, Patten, others) I grow some sentimental attachment to without any negative feelings and wish them only the best.

Matty ain't going to Philly, though. They're going to stick with the dry heaver.

I can't believe that anyone on this board would wish this upon Matt. Philly? you kiddin me? Those fans hate everyone. I wouldnt want Matt to end up there, anymore than i would, detroit.

I don't think we can be too critical of Philly football fans. After all, there was a sizeable contingent of folks on this board who wanted Matt's head in September and early October, arguing that he was no good...so many that Ian created a special board for them. There are dumb fans everywhere, even in Patriot Nation.

I think that the Philadelphia media and fan base would embrace Matt after the usual grumbling from idiots at the beginning. Laurie is a classy owner who hasn't been able to get all the pieces to come together. It could be a good fit for him.

I hear you... but if someone told me the Pats would win 2 SBs in the next 5 yrs - only thing was to get rid of Brady (hypothetical, obv)... I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

I think the Eagles actually have a pretty good cap situation.

But they were close last year and aren't missing many pieces. If I were the Eagles, I'd put together the best package I could for Anquan Boldin, focus on the draft, and get ready for next year with McNabb.
