*shrug*, if the positions were reversed, Belichick would do the exact same thing. Never let your opponent know anything before it's absolutely necessary that they know it.

Not to mention. Why would you make the decision any earlier than necessary. It is weather dependent. Are you going to have the sunroof open on your car Friday afternoon? Probably not going to make that decision until Friday afternoon.

lol...

yet another advantage for the colts?
Yes, it's called home field advantage and the Colts get 8 of them this season, same as the Pats.

Saints only get 7.

And they only had seven after Katrina hit, too.

Personally, I think that the next Saints@Giants game should be in New Orleans. Call it a "home" game for the Giants if you want, but it should be in New Orleans.

Actually, if you want to get real technical, the Saints had no home games that year, since the Dome was so badly damaged. They played in San Antonio and at LSU's stadium, with the team offices in San Antonio, I think. And then San Antonio tried to "steal" the team, as well. I also seem to remember them practicing in something like five different locations. It was a seriously ****ed up season/year.

As for the whole Indy roof thing, I'm not sure I see what the problem is. Both teams are going to be playing on the same field, and it's something I could definitely see Belichick doing, anyway.

Personally, I don't care either way. All teams with retractable domes do the same thing. I think if it is a nice night, it will be open. If not, it will be closed.

Well, with a lack of things to keep the mind occupied before the game, here's one. Decision should come down in 15 mins at the most.

Fans on the Colts board are reporting it will be open tonite

Are we over the frickin roof now? let's play ball!!

Interesting comment by Michaels that they could close one portion (a 'window') in order to keep the stadium noisier, while leaving the rest open. I would have thought for sure that Polian would have ordered the entire roof closed to aid the noise factor.
