We lost Dean Smith this past weekend on Saturday, 2-7-2015. He was the Bill Belichick of college basketball. Used the rule book to his advantage, developed players to become the best they could be, was fiercely competitive, and adapted his game plans to exploit each opponent's greatest weakness or take away their strength. The game of basketball changed due to his methods, and he adapted with those changes to have unsurpassed consistent excellence (27 consecutive years with 20 or more wins.)

He made all who he touched better in many ways, and will be missed.
