Call me crazy but... winner of Pats/Bolts will be SB Champs

Yeah. Merriman would hog more media spotlight than LT. You know they won't report anything about the classy, humble RB.

While I hate most of the Ravens, I will be cheering for Steve McNair.

Enough with appeasing the pat fans. This game is nothing but a warmup for the Chargers, as next week will be the REAL SB against the Ravens. I fear the Ravens a hell of alot more than the mediocre pats.

This game is going to be tough and physical. Those players are going to take a beating. Is the Indy Ravens game going to be like that? No. If Baltimore wins, then they will be in good shape to win the following week.
My sentiments exactly. The winner of Sunday's game is going to be limping into either Indy or Baltimore*. If it's Baltimore, the AFCCG is the Ravens' to lose because their D should be able to beat up on some weary OLs. If it's Indy, the physical weariness aspect shouldn't be as pronounced, but it's still going to be a b1tch chasing those Colts receivers all over the field.

Remember how physical the Pats/Bears game was? Remember how flat the Pats looked the following two weeks against Detroit and especially Miami? I think there's a bit of causation, not just correlation. Many commentators have said in the past that teams have some tough weeks immediately after facing the Pats due to the punishment they absorb. This physical weariness aspect should not be underestimated.

That being said, if either the Pats or Chargers DO go on to win the SB, overcoming the physical weariness of facing each other and beating the Indy/Baltimore winner will be one of the more impressive feats in recent Super Bowl history when looked at in this light.

Regards,
Chris

* Edit: "Limping into"...no bias on who I think wins Sunday, huh?

But that's because you're an idiot. You "fear" a team you may not even play? Yea, definitely an idiot. You know how the saying goes. Act like you've been here before.

Like I've said in another thread on this board and what I've been saying on all the boards I've been to is that the Patriots is the scariest team in the playoffs. They can match up against any team and win. That scares the heck out of this Bolts fan. Don't get me wrong, I know my Bolts have a very good chance of beating the Pats, but the Patriots have a lot experience at winning when it counts and a lot of football intangibles. They're just plain good.

Granted SD has a great regular season and is seeded #1 but that means naught if we don't win it all.

But seriously, I really feel that the winner of this game between the Patriots and the Chargers, no matter who it is, will go on to win the Superbowl. I really do.

May the best team wins!

Considering Baltimore already beat S.D and Indy already beat N.E. I would say this statement is ludicrous

I agree. Right now statistically Baltimore ithe most balanced and complete team in the NFL. They are therefore the scariest. Whoever wins the Pats-Bolts game better get ready for the fight of their lives.

If you've watched that Bolts/Ravens game and the Bolts game since then, you may feel differently. As for Indy already beating NE, I recall that the Jets had a win on NE as well. It does not seem so ludicrous to me, but of course, you're welcome to your opinions.

It is ludicrous to believe that thius game determines the superbowl winner when there are two equally tough teams in the afc as well as one ( chicago) in the NFC that have the capabilities of winning it all
