This is the 3rd time the Titans have taken our PK, and he ends up being better than what we're left with.
Gostowski finished there (Rohrwasser was the draftee that sucked, but Folk was signed and did well)
Folk went there 2 years ago and was excellent for them (while we had Ryland)
Now Slye - who is probably going to be better than whichever scrub we find.

Actually, but for a few bad patches, the Pats have had remarkably good luck with PK for their whole history.

Here we go again… they will draft a kicker in the late rounds and some deep thinkers here will call it a waste of a draft pick.

Many think a kicker is unimportant or easily found, until you’re staring at a long game deciding kick with no time left on the clock… then all of a sudden kicker is important.

I haven't seen anything about him retiring, but he is older and (IIRC) he had a bit of a down year least year, but not awful.

The Romo kid they have signed now is probably "good enough" for now as far as baseline. They may just draft someone too. There are a few decent kickers in the draft available.

Last year was actually one of his better years (21/22 95%). He is 40 yo now though yeah. Haven’t looked much at romo yet but guessing hes unlikely to be worse than slye

Yes!!! I said it at the time. Another idiotic decision by Wolf and Mayo to give up on your rookie 4th round kicker after 1 year.
Rookie kickers often have a difficukt first year.
Now we are back to square ine.

We got Folk originally because others thought he was aging out. We let him go because we thought he was aging out. I don't know, do we figure he can foil that assessment again at this stage?
