Gave me chills watching Butler run towards the line.

"Malcolm Butler wasn't even on the field when the Seahawks first huddled for the play that resulted in the Patriots' game-saving interception in Super Bowl XLIX.

The Patriots originally aligned with their goal-line defense, featuring linebacker Akeem Ayers. Once they noticed three wide receivers in the Seahawks' huddle, two assistant coaches adjusted, sending Butler in to replace Ayers..."

Not only that—Butler apparently was also the "last man" on the active roster, and his spot was almost given to Jonas Gray.

Just saw that on NFLN ... epic tingles.

I feel like the epic-ness of that whole game is just starting to settle in for me.

Probably explains, even more so, why Butler was so humble and felt so lucky..

Not to spoil anything cause it was awesome and Butler is a hero. But let's say he was inactive and Gray was active and everything went the same way. Who would have been in on that play? Arrington?

Isn't it said that butler practiced that play and got beat?

Did they practice a 4 wr set so he was the 4rth guy in it?

Doesn't make any sense that he would have been last minute sub, yet have been in that exact position during drill
