Here we are at the end of the second week of practice and backup QB Matt Flynn is taking "mental reps." Terrific. The Patriots have, officially, one active QB on the roster for weeks 1-4. With five weeks to go to opening night, it would be nice to see a little depth at that position.

Anybody got any insight into this? Is Belichick counting on Cassell, Hoyer or Mallett to get cut?
