Hoyer made several comments where he brought up the Pats:

• JJ Watt reminds him most of Brady in level of intensity, dedication, preparation.
• Where did he learn more, Cleveland or NE? Definitely NE, that's why he went to Houston because of O'Brian.
• Brady uses F-bomb a lot for emphasis and to motivate others.
• He doesn't know PSI, just know how he likes the football to feel.
• Didn't want to talk about Cleveland.

The fact that Hoyer doesn't know anything about PSI levels despite being Brady's backup for years really should be evidence enough that there was nothing going on. In fact, he's saying the same thing as Brady that he's only concerned about the feel.

I agree, the media doesn't really want to know and neither does the NFL.

But they never ask so we assume, he and any of the other backups would know if Brady intentionally doctored the footballs..

Have heard Zolak talk about this as it was his responsibility to prepare the footballs for the Starting QB.. asking that question is a logical sequence of conversation/interview.

What you're saying makes sense. Even if Hoyer (or any other back-up QB) was asked about this, though, and denied the existence of any PSI tampering scheme, the response would be "Of course he's going to say that. He's lying so he doesn't get in trouble."

They don't talk to other refs to find out about McNally's behavior
They don't talk to other refs to see if they noticed the balls were soft in previous games.
This came about because it's "widely known around the league" that the Pats play with deflated footballs. Yet there is nothing in the report about anyone else making such an accusation.
There's practically nothing from McNally's 7+ hour interrogation in the report nor Jastremski's interrogation.
What about Brady's 5 hour interrogation?
What about the other Patriots employees?
How aabout questioning the other Tom that was mentioned in the texts?
Obviously no one talked to former QBs from the team.

The report was cooked to make NE and Brady look bad and the NFL look good. Why go searching for things you weren't hired to find?

Hoyer is cool but I don't think his ceiling is all that high tbh. More of a Matt Cassel stopgap kinda guy IMO.
