The fear/panic was not undue; it was based on the data. The NFL and its teams implemented COVID protocols to address the pandemic while best giving the season the chance to occur in full, and that involved vaccine mandates.

Popovich made his decision to forgo the vaccine as is his personal right, and as a result of that decision was ineligible to be on the Patriots’ staff per NFL protocol. If he’s in compliance with NFL protocol and is a competent OL coach, I’d happy welcome him back.
