I remember reading that after applying all the old-school stats plus so-called advanced analytics- Pedro had the greatest, most dominating 3consecutive year run in HISTORY- I believe it was his last year with expos and 1st 2 with Sox. Koufax came in 2nd.
Clemens was a great pitcher, but Pedro was better. All 175 or whatever pounds of him. Funny how Pedro, Bird and TB all have similar make-ups and are 3 of the very most competitive athletes alltime- right there with MJ. And also 3 of the best all time. And I got to see all their careers.
Pedro's career was too short, but that stretch (97 with Montreal, 99 and espeically 2000 season) was as dominant as any pitcher in history. A sub 1.80 ERA at the height of the steroid era in the AL east with a sub 0.75 WHIP? Insane.
