Belichick calls LT the best player he's ever coached.

Hysterical how butt-hurt some get if the coach doesn't speak words they want to hear.
Generation Triggered----activated

I accept Bill's opinion on its face value and don't necessarily believe his opinion includes caveats...ie....active vs retired

Look at this topic from a different angle knowing Belichick is the only person on the planet who molded, designed schemes for, and deployed these two special players.

Some argue...I'm one of them....that Brady has certain limitations: athleticism, sideline passes, deep balls. And understanding Brady's limitations, Bill and his O coordinators have designed an offense that plays into Brady's strengths.....deploying a quick strike offense reliant on slot WRs and TE's.

Taylor had no limitations while on the field that needed to be compensated for (ignoring his internal demons which were many). Always the best athlete on the field, the most possessed player on the field....a beast with football instincts programmed in his DNA.
I was at a Philly/Giants game with playoff implications one December. Close game, ...Philly had the ball and victory was in their grasp....until LT single handedly stomped them into submission.
1st down...LT anticipates run and blows up their RB deep behind the LOS
2nd down...LT ***** slaps the left tackle on the edge and nearly decapitates the QB while getting the sack.
3rd down....LT diagnoses a screen pass and picks it off securing victory.
These type of heroics were commonplace in most every game. He was that dominant a force.....and BB allowed him free reign to operate.

BB's "do your job" mantra did not apply to LT....unless his job description was "do what ever you want." I am not in the least surprised BB holds LT in the highest regard.
Best player I've ever seen....and I hated the Giants.
