BB's take on the timeout rule before the FG

I think the whistle should have to be blown before the snap. It doesn't matter when timeout it called, it matter when the whistle is blow (ideally). This way you won't have do-over kicks.

Hopefully the Patriots are never in a situation when BB has to make the decision about doing this.

BB did this in the Atlanta game last year. Their kicker missed the kick that didn't count because of our time out, then nailed the following kick. I can still seem Mora Jr. and Vick on the sidelines laughing over BB essentially screwing the team with that decision, thank god we won that game or I wouldn't have been able to stand seeing the Falcons gloating over that.
Basically sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. The rule doesn't need to be changed now just because people are whining about it.

This rule is going to come into play during a playoff game this year and there is going to be a huge uproar.

I'm a pretty live and let live type of guy but for some reason this tactic pisses me off. Can you imagine if Martz had pulled this crap in the Superbowl and Vinatieri had to rekick and missed?

The question here is why is the ball being snapped if there is a timeout being called? The refs need to be more proactive and stop the play before the ball is snapped.

Who cares? The kicker needs to make the kick, period. What a tempest in a teapot.
