Word. Also I think he's frustrated by the fact everyone's so focused on Cassel which sort of implies almost a disregard or whatever for the accomplishments of the rest of the team who really have grown right along with Matt, adjusting to his style, etc. Plus all the adjustments the D's had to make as a result of losing AD and Rodney even going all the way back to Tank's early injury.
Also, downplaying Cassel is important because he hasnt demonstrated consistency yet, which is critical. The media (and we) can get all excited about a couple games, but there are more pressure games coming. You cant extrapolate from the last game. This tendancy may make him more agitated
See a pattern?? I think even Coach is sick of the polarized reactions to anything Cassel does, good or bad. Last thing Belichick wants is anything going to Cassel's head.
well no,he always tries to credit everyone and is trying to stop making cassel the sole hero. he always does that. You ask him how sammy morris did , he will say "all backs ran hard". i dont think he ever praised brady outwordly a lot either, more like "line blocked well, receivers caught the ball and brady found them open"
