Banks:How are Pats back in title game again? All credit due to Brady, Belichick

Even Dungy is praising Belichick...

But my crystal ball tells me that it will not be a low scoring game..

Great read!

Isn't that all we expect from columnists: do some basic homework, obtain the facts, get some interviews where necessary, and finally give his/her opinion?

Wish some of the Boston based columnists do the same.

Thanks for the link, good read.

Note to the rest of the league: 2013 was your chance. This team is shaping up to be mighty good for quite some time.

It sure looks that way.

the last sentence is my favorite

Seeing New England win its way back to another Super Bowl wouldn't be a surprise either, even though Denver is favored at home. It's mid-January, and the Patriots are still hanging around. Would it even feel like the NFL playoffs without them?
shows how easy is it assume consistency and not appreciate it as much as other team's successes and how hard it is to do it yr in yr out.

The youth sure is making the future look bright

I think by low scoring Dungy meant in the 20's for both teams not the shootout a lot of people think it will be. If not for all the turnovers in the rain by both teams the first game wouldn't have reached the 30's.

45-17 low scoring for the broncos.

Wow- A mediot who "gets it". Who'd have ever thought we'd see the day. That was a great read. Banks articulated the obstacles and adversities the Pats have had to overcome, and places them in context to the rest of the league. He gives fans a true insight into the unique way the Pats develop the kind of mental toughness that allows this organization to excel EVERY year.

I'm also glad that Dungy notes the accomplishment of the 4 straight Buffalo superbowl appearances. I think that is a vastly under rated accomplishment.

Nice read, but of course credit is due to a lot of others in the Pats' organization, albeit perhaps in a smaller amount than to BB and TFB. I too was shocked that St. Dungy was praising BB and even calling him by his first name. What the heck is going on here? The cynic in me wondered if this was like a BB Jedi mind trick - praise the opponent profusely because you know you have something "special" planned.

Don't know what to expect in this game. Extremely hopeful for the Pats, yet extremely nervous too. Can't wait for Sunday, and dreading it all the same...

with avg QB and avg coach, this team is 6-10 at best. we would've lost to saints, broncos, browns for sure. would've lost few more close ones.
