Aqib Talib Surprisingly Took Some Shots at the Patriots Wednesday

Its good to know he didnt injure his hip, and instead sat out for a second time with a chance to go to the superbowl because he bruised his thigh.

IF it's true that Talib never injured his hip (which I doubt, sounds like that's the story he told to get his long-term deal) then basically that just means he has chronic quad/thigh problems instead and is a gigantic ***** for checking out if two straight AFCCGs because of a minor-ish injury.

Did Denver and Elway jump the gun and signed Talib? Talib looked very surprised at his press conference all that guranteed $$$$ would surprise me i I guess. It look like he didn't see it coming. If Denver had an idea that Revis was going to be released wouldn't they wait and thow all those $$$$ his way? Was Talil Denver's man all along? Things that make you go Hmmm.

What makes me snicker is you know at least part of the Elway's justification for such a massive contract for Talib was to weaken us as well as strengthen his own team.

Well, he did that….for 24 hours. Then we got even stronger and it was far better financial decision for the future as well. So Elway is left with maybe a stronger team for next year (but not at that position relative to us because we got Revis) and a vastly weakened team in the future from a money standpoint.

It tickles me.

I'm glad at how it turned out. But I don't think Denver cares that they are weaker in the future. I think Elway realizes he has 1-2 years left of Manning; and he's okay loading up and then sucking for the 3 years after that. That's the only explanation of the big contracts they've signed. Of course you do have to wonder why they didn't keep Decker if that's their plan.

Talib's agent should explain to him that misrepresentations (in this instance, his hip) can lead to a voidable contract.

Um, assuming this is true and not something he had to say for some reason I do not understand (because I'm sane).

When his play dropped off in the regular season after the play where he threw his helmet at the bench - week 9 or so, I forget exactly - I assumed it was due to injury. If this is correct (and not semantics or something) then he just started being a JAG and I don't know why.
