Was on the starting KO coverage. Could he make the team?

If Tebucky Jones and Guss Scott are IRed

For all the angst for our WR and LB positions, I'm more looking at the DB position. We had 10 DBs last year. Do you think this year we go with 9?

Cornerbacks (5)
Asante Samuel, Ellis Hobbs, Randall Gay, Chad Scott, Willie Andrews

Safeties (4)
Eugene Wilson, Rodney Harrison, Artrell Hawkins, James Sanders

I don't know what Gus' injury was, but I don't think it rates IR, nor does putting him on IR for a third year do him or the Pats any good.

Spann reminds me of Blue with his size and speed, I can see keeping him for DB depth and development, but more likely he is ahead of Vernell Brown for the Practice Squad.

Tebucky probably needs a few weeks to heal. I'd rather cut him with the understanding he's a favorite to bring back once he passes a physical (assuming an opening/need on Special Teams).

I think that is what is happening with Chad Brown.

Keeping extra DBs and fewer LBs may just be a Special Teams move too - more speed.

spann is awful, he would only make the team if half the d-backs broke their legs.
