The pictures were of her and her kids, more than likely taken off social media. Who knows if she even had solo pictures of her up there at all for him to take. I think he is a dumbass and will be cut today by the Pats, and if not them, the NFL, but I don't think he threatened the kids. The media is running that narrative on their own. I read the entire chain multiple times, he is being a dumbass in sending her any texts at all, but I do not see him threatening her kids here...that is a stretch to any logical rational person.

He will be gone though, he won't play on Sunday or for a while probably, but this is more of a media hit job attacking a dumb player than it is over his actions. If he was still in Oakland, this would not even be a national story.

Im going to say it they wouldn't be all over him if he wasn't a Patriot.

A judge would grant a temporary restraining order in a heartbeat. Probably even be willing to make it more permanent since there’s just no reason for him to contact her.

Yep. Same thing happened in our town. Psycho ex husband was sending all kinds of messages to the ex once he found out she was dating. He never threatened her but for the fear of a potential DV situation the police spoke to the ex and he stopped. The hope is he will continue to leave her alone.

Fair points, but it's ultimately up to the discretion of a judge. A judge isn't obligated to grant a restraining order.

Case in point...my girlfriend had a roommate who would shout and scream while she was in the home, to purposefully frighten her. He also made threats to shoot and stab the both of us.

The roommate also had a history of beating up on women.

My girlfriend filed two police reports and documented all these incidents.... and the judge still refused to grant a restraining order, because according to the judge, it was more important that the roommate not be homeless. What a bunch of bull*******
