Thanks for reminding me of all that to be thankful for. The comparisons with the other dynasties is especially satisfying. Would I be considered spoiled if I hope the Pats, unlike the others, did it 2 decades in a row?

In the past 6 years NE has ended the season in every conceivable manner.

Missed the playoffs (2008)
Lost wild card weekend (2009)
lost division weekend (2005)
lost the championship game (2006)
lost the superbowl(2007)
won the superbowl (2004)

Time to start the cycle anew.

Sounds like your glass is not only half empty, but severely cracked. The one thing that the Patriots have going for them in the comparisons of those other great teams, is that even though, they have fallen off lately, they still have the same qb as 2001 SB winner and could add to the bounty. Just sayin', it might not be over as it is for those other teams.
