the pats will be drafting a O or D linemen high in the draft?

you can never have too much of a good thing

DL more likely than OL. We have more depth at OL and Belichick supposedly was interested in Ngata last year if he could have gotten him.

I can see them doing that. It all depends on what's infront of them when they draft.

If there's a stud OL available around the mid-20s, then maybe.

There is just not much value in picking a DL high when the Pats have Seymour, Wilfork, Warren, Green, and Wright active and Hill and Smith riding the pine week after week.

If D-Line includes DE`s who will likely be OLBs for us then definitely. It`s the deepest position in the draft (on 1st day at least). Interesting names that are mentioned around the time we pick are Jarvis Moss, Quentin Moses, LaMarr Woodley, Charles Johnson) etc.
based on http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.html

i honestly think BB is just going to take the best players at the current pick. Theres no such thing as too much depth. take yesterday for example (sorry, im talkin about the colts game) did you see how tired our defense was?!?
The only position im ruling out for a 1st round pick is RB,QB,FB,P,K...

I would really love to see an impact pass rusher from the OLB spot. Someone to rotate next year with Colvin and Vrabel, assuming we ever get some help at ILB.

I can see that Ochmed. As previous poster there are some guys in late 1st or early 2nd who can help. Might be able to trade down a la 03 when we got E.Wilson and get an extra 3. I want to see some 40 times from A.Spencer,
Woodley,Abiamriri,J.Moss,2 Ga Guys. Siler from Fla. might be available in late Round 2 to help shore up that position.

Hoping we keep Asante. But, I doubt it. If we let him go. CB becomes priority number 1. If we won't pay big bucks for Asante, doubt if we pay it for N.Clements either.

We need to go LB/DB with the first 2 picks, These are the biggest needs we have. I really can't see OL on the first day.
Two LB's would be great with me

I agree, BPA, as boring as it sounds in the salary cap ERA you can reach for players in round 1. All the units on the team would be improved if a first round pick is brought into the fold. Injuries occur, players get old and tired...

Still fun to guess but it could be WR, or maybe RB (if Dillion is put to pasture), maybe TE or DL, how about CB, LB, S, or OL?

Helps keep the suspense...

It occured to me that if the BPA was a defensive lineman, then that's whom we would take. When Belioli looks at Seymour/Wilfork/Warren, he may see $$$$$$$$$. They may look at a DLman in the draft to save money when those contracts come up. That said, I think it is more likely a strategy for next offseason after further assessment of Green/Smith is available.

As for Oline - I can't see it. We have six good ones on the active roster and the highest paid practice squader in the league. I think/hope we're good.
