I'd say those are reasons 3 and 4. 1 is Mahomes is better than Allen and 2 Reid is better than McDermott.

While those are valid reasons, there were years the Pats were weakened and teams took advantage of it. In fact, the majority of their playoff loses were because of a glaring weakness which reared it's ugly head. The Chiefs have been asking teams to unseat them ever since the Tyrek trade, yet all the teams have become weaker as well. The 2023 49ers were the exception, but choked away another chance at a Lombardi.

But when Josh Allen got the ball on his own 30 with 3 and a half minutes to go, not once - not for a single second - did I think Buffalo would tie the game, let alone win it.

It was the biggest moment of the biggest game of his life. The moments you dream of since you were a kid. Super Bowl trip on the line and Patrick Mahomes on the sidelines could do nothing but watch. And Allen? He went 1-4 for 5 yards. If that ain't a choke, nothing is.
