Adam Vinatieri breaks NFL's field goal record with No. 566

I kinda thought it would be nice if it happened against us. Preferably in a blow out win against the Colts they drag him out for a meaningless field goal where he can get a standing ovation

Yes, he's made 566 FG's and yes, of course, he should and will go into the HOF.

But, he'll go in unanimously on his First Ballot because of four kicks with the Pats: the kicks that tied and won the Divisional Playoff Game in the snow against the Raiders and the kicks that won SB XXXVI and XXXVIII.

If we don’t let him go we kick that FG in Super Bowl 42 and who knows what happens.

There's a lot of small things that could of helped us win that game to name a few

Kicking a FG with Ghost

Maybe Brady's ankle sprain had an effect

Moss leaps up or catches that deep ball towards the end of the game

Eli gets sacked like he should of

Penalty gets called during helmet catch like it should of

Seau listens to Rodney

BB not as intense during SB week as some complained

We draft Williams in '07 draft

Congrats to him, I think today kraft got his 300th win as well

It absolutely did.
And you forgot Stephen Neal being injured early in the game.

A couple more:

Pierre Woods doesn't allow Ahmad Bradshaw, a RB whom Woods out-weighed by 40 Feckin Pounds, to take the football from her after a botched hand-off during the 2nd quarter. Had Pierre been a man, the recovery would've placed the Pats already in near-FG range, at the Vagiants 30.

Brady doesn't get sacked on 3rd down during the 3rd quarter. That moves the Pats out of FG range, at least in Bill's eyes, from what would've been a 42-yarder without the sack to a 49-yarder.
BTW, Welker was Wide Open on the right side when Brady was throwing the incompletion to a covered Gaffney in the end zone.

Edit: it was the exercrable Nicky OxyKaczur's complete whiff vs Strahan that allowed the sack in the first place. What a terrible play.

Congrats to him. I’m sure he’s earned the top dawg position
