Adam changes Agents according to Nick Cafardo

The Boston Globe's Nick Cafardo is reporting that Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri has switched agents. The news was also reported by Channel 5 in Boston on Monday night.

According to the Globe report, Vinatieri's new agent will be Gary Uberstine. Uberstine has a business partnership with former Patriot Willie McGinest, which might have led to Vinatieri's decision.

He didn't get an offer from GB either, which is odd. They talked about this on EEI some time ago. The feeling was that GB had an idea how much it would be and might not have been in the immediate running. It was suggested that if it came out how much GB wa soffering and AV was not signed by them, it would make it difficult to sign another kicker. Say they offered 2.5 and it was tuenws down and they were negotiating with another kicker. "Hey I'm 3/4's of AV" so, he'd be willing to sign for 1.8... Basically they thought they'd be bidding against themselves, so to speak. Maybe he is looking for Miami?? (His wife is from there..so???)
