Just thought we need a whole separate thread on his play since he's been getting bashed a lot.

I do think he is on borrowed time because of his contract, but...

Yesterday he played really really well.

Seemed more visible last week also, but it is always hard to tell who plays well and who does not, as we do not know the intricies of the defense and their specific responsibilities...

From our view, seems more active...

I'd like to see his sack total go up, but when they run the ball to his side he absolutely punishes them. I wouldn't mind seeing the yard total to each side of the line, it was probably a lot less on his side.

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | Hmm...We can't seem to find that

Pats are fantastic on runs behind the left tackle, but are varying degrees of below average to suck on everything else.

For across-the-board run defense stats, the Pats are excellent in terms of power success, which is defined as percentage of 3rd down or 4th down runs with 2 yards to go to first down/TD that achieve their goal. The Pats' 44% ranking is best in the league, which makes sense since they have great personnel for that package. In every other measure of run defense performance that FO has, they're somewhat below average.

Just a little bashing to get some motivation going. Love the way he's coming off the line against the run and pass attempts. He's gettin his groove back. Hope it lasts and as good as it looks!!!

He was very vocal and active in identifying formations and plays to the rest of the LB- this clearly comes from his days with Ryan, knowing that a lot of stuff Ryan uses is from Baltimore.

Hopefully he has experienced a rejuvenation.
