Aaron Rodgers to IR, one week after return - just before rematch w/Vikings

Too bad for him.

Wait, so he was re-injured during the game Sunday? Or he was never truly healthy enough to come back and return? Because Martellus Bennett was crucified for criticizing the Packers medical staff for the mishandling of his injury. Hmm..maybe he was right. Where are those fans now?

These other quarterbacks making “MVP runs” are pigs in lipstick. There’s a big gap from Brady and Rodgers to everyone else.

Bennett was wrong then and this doesn't change that.

If the packers were still in contention, Rodger's would be playing. As they are eliminated he's being given the rest. He was not 100% last week and it was known by everyone before the game.

I assume if they won he would not have been IRd?
Of course he wouldn't have. Now that they're out of the playoffs they're shutting him down, which seems odd -- either he's injured or he isn't. Apparently they were willing to risk further injury by playing him.

Props to them, didn’t think they’d make the right move. Let him heal, especially with the Vikes in town.

R.I.P. Saint Aaron.
Losing out on even more games this season affects cumulative career stats in this aging QB's greatness quest.
Saw a bit Sunday at the gym and he hasn't changed his aggressive style of play. Outlook as he ages is not good.

Explain to me again how Bennett was wrong to chose an operation over playing meaningless games and aggravating an existing injury but putting AR onto IR over playing meaningless games and risking reinjury is something else. Please.

Easy for me to say but I thought he was nuts playing and he clearly wasn't even 75% ... take care of yourself Aaron.
