Good to hear! When I saw the hit, all I could think of is Daryl Stingley.

Stingley was before my time. But looking at replays of that hit by Tatum, Dobson's hit looked more violent and damaging. His neck looked like it was being ripped off his head.

Sounds as if it was a stinger and that's something you would expect to have some pain from for a few days.

If you look at that play again, it makes you sick as to how close that came to being something very, very serious. I hope that he's not gun shy going forward.

The Stingley hit was way more vicious. Tatum was looking to hit him in the head, and was going full speed like a missle. I'll never forget that, I was 15yo and devastated. Stingley was one of my favorite Pats.

You and me, brother.

And I agree, it was more intense, but the hit on Dobson was in the general family given the angles. I was so relieved that he wasn't taken off in a stretcher....

I hate the fact that it sounds there might be even minor damage, but relieved nonetheless.

Lucky no damage....hit looked pretty bad

It looked pretty bad, but the way he walked off the field, he looked ok, and like he may be back. I'm sure it was all precautionary. Should have been two fouls on the play, holding and personal foul.

Glad to see he is ok...

We do not need another Darryl Stingley situation...

i was afraid of a fractured vertebra or rupture. hope it's nothing permanent. it looked bad, and i'm sure felt even worse.
