If Vince Wilfork retires from football, Steve Balestrieri believes Canton should be the veteran defensive tackle's next stop.

I noted in my post that I am pretty sure Reiss is wrong about Wheatly as I thought I saw him....though it was early in practice so I hope he didn't get hurt and leave.

Re: 8/6 PM notes: Reiss, Scalavino

    Per Scalavino's notes:

    * QB Tom Brady, who threw very little in the morning, was slinging the ball well all night long.

    * For the second time this summer, Brandon Meriweather picked off a Brady pass during the final 11-on-11 action of practice. Brady fired a dart intended for Welker over the middle, some 25 yards downfield, but the two appeared not to be on the same page, as Welker never looked back for the ball. Meriweather read it the whole way and simply stopped to let the ball fall into his hands.

Picks are like ****, they happen, and they aren't always the QB's fault. Brady is likely a little rusty and his WR good as they are aren't always on the same page as the HOF.

most of us can complete passes knowing we will not be hit. i just hope brady's ok. its something that nobody will know until live action starts. any injury, knee injuries especially, require a player to overcome a mental hurdle. brady has overcome most obstacles in his career and i would be shocked if he didnt overcome this one. my point is, playing in practice is one thing, being tom brady in the game is another. lets hope he is able to be his old self

Most of us would throw pick after pick to the DBs on that field regardless of pass rush.

I think there is no sense worth worrying about a little rust through one week of camp. he has some 50 practices plus pre-season to shake it off.

    Per Reiss

Brady, who still looks like he’s getting comfortable in the pocket against a live rush, was one of the leaders in post-practice sprints.

No offense but that is just a ridiculous statement. Read the blog. He was throwing fine all evening. Welker screwed up. It happens.
