2027 Watch List

6'6", 320 lbs. Really like his feet. He'll be lining up next to Evan Tengesdahl at LG. The Bearcats OL got more interesting.

For me, OL is all about the footwork. Upper body strength can be built up and technique can be taught, but not light feet.

Why I really like Taylor Wein but why I think he's more a round 3-4 pick than a first.

1. Watch when the video first pauses. Wein is so much slower off the snap than his DL colleagues. That's worrying and it's not just limited to this one video, I've seen it elsewhere too.

however...

2. I love his hand usage when he takes on the block. He also has heavy violent hands too, seen elsewhere.

3. And while you wouldn't call him bendy, he has enough that he can take a right hand turn to the QB without arcing past him and then trying to come back.

He's very much in the Jacas mold with his effort, his violence and on-field character. I wish he was quicker off the snap, but if the team is looking for adequate pass rushing 3-down EDGE's as a EDGE 3 that will go to war on a snap by snap basis, he's your man. If you're looking for a pure pass rusher to compliment Jacas, maybe not.

Doesn't look ready for the snap. If he's moving around physically and mentally, that's fixable.
