2026 Watch List

On that board, Sonny Styles (26) and Vega Ioane (28) would probably be best case scenario.

Styles and Blake Miller, or Ioane and Jake Golday would be dream scenarios. Golday at 42 breaks my heart, he might be a 1st round option.

No Blake Miller, Siereveld, And other OLs. None of my favorite DBs.

Cisse has showed up in a few mocks recently. Need to study him more.
Cisse. I looked for film a month ago, there wasn't much. Now it's different. 1st Rd is new.

I'm really concerned about that 3-cone time of Parker. Suggests he is too stiff.
He's very good against the run though and has enough speed to power to be a successful bull rusher. I largely agree with you but his value in the late first makes him worth considering.

I've been mystified by the lack of attention Carter Smith has been getting considering he's one of the highest graded LTs, has given up 0 sacks and only five pressures all year and plays for one of the best 2 teams in CFB. I get it, grades and NFL projectibility are not the same things, but even so. Now that Brugler has put him in the top 50, I suspect that will change.

There are just so damn many good OLs, I think people have trouble keeping track of them all.

Fano and Mauigoa consistently ranked top 2, but are they really? Procter consistently graded 1st round, but his tape so inconsistent. Tennessee was a regression game.

After that, it's a free for all. Lomu athletic but lacks strength, World has terrible hand use.

Then you see guys going from anywhere from 15 to not in the top 100. Trevor Goosby, Blake Miller, Gennings Dunker, Fa'alili Fa'amoe, Max Iheanachor. Monroe Freeling, like Carter Smith, mostly off the radar.

Do Austin Siereveld, Carter Smith and Cayden Green purely project inside?

So much noise. So much opportunity.

One reaction to Brugler's top 50:

More of the same from Rob Staton:

I don't buy it, entirely. There are a lot of good players in this draft. May take some work to pick them out, and to develop them, but some will go on to have excellent careers.
Of course there'll be some but I do think it's quite a poor class. Not at every position - linebacker is good - but OT, EDGE, DT, RB don't look very good at all. QB, TE are looking iffy too and even WR, while good at the top, has some questionable depth.

This is a good video on draft prospects that don't often get discussed with some accompanying video at times. James Foster and Corey Kinnen. I think Kinnen is a bit of a twat but there's no denying he watches the tape. I've provided time stamps to what I think are the relevant discussions/clips.

6:34 Rene Konga, DT, Louisville

7:55 - TJ Parker, EDGE, Clemson (violent hands, power rusher)

12:48 - D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana (tiny at 5'9" but boy is he quick twitch with excellent ability to read the game)

18:25 - Chase Bisontis, OG, TAMU (very good pass blocker although not as good as run blocker for me)

29:02 - Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech

29:27 - Malachi Lawrence, EDGE, UCF (great build for an EDGE. Foster has him top 100)

32:40 - Malachi Fields, WR, Notre Dame (that catch radius keeps pulling me back in)

35:18 - Makai Lemon, WR, USC (Foster says his Iowa game was "multiple steps above the great performances he already has on his resume).

37:02 - Gennings Dunker, RT, Iowa (James Foster: "Gennings Dunker can't pass block").

38:34 - Jakobe Thomas, S, Miami (Plenty of feasting, but too much famine. 22.5% missed tackle rate)

41:21 - Keith Abney II, CB, Arizona State

43:21 - Zavion Thomas, WR, LSU

Those are the discussions with video clips. There's plenty of other good stuff if you have time to watch the whole thing.

Even a stopped twat is right twice a day.

In the video, James Foster gives a shout out to Alabama LB Justin Jefferson who, when I watch him, I always think he's a future Patriot. He's undersized as a LB at 227lbs but there's just something about him. He's a run and hit guy, not a traditional MIKE, but he's always making plays. Maybe it's the links to Jamien Sherwood in the last pre-season that makes me view him as a potential Patriot.

James Foster: "Justin Jefferson, the linebacker, he weighs something crazy so he's a day 3 guy in this class but man! he's as fast as hell, he's instinctive, he's a hard hitter. I would definitely be interested in that as a project for sure."
