Think a separate thread is in order for this topic as there's usually lots of surprises. First up is the OT position, found at this site:

2010 NFL Combine: The Offensive Tackles Weigh In...Who Lacked Elite Measurables? | Bleacher Report

Here's 5 of the 8 listed:

Bruce Campbell, Maryland 6'6 3/8" 314 Arm length: 36.25"
Anthony Davis, Rutgers 6'5" 323 Arm length: 34"
Russell Okung, Oklahoma St 6'5 1/4" 307 Arm Length: 36"
Jared Veldheer, Hillsdale College 6'8 1/8" 312 Arm Length: 33"
Bryan Bulaga, Iowa 6'5 3/8" 315 Arm Length: 33.25"

What happens when Cody weighs in at 390? Are people still going to want to draft him?

Buluga drops to round 2 based on those arm measurements. I prefer OTs with long wingspans. Okung will go way too early for us. Will Bruce Campbell last till 22? Is he worth a 1st round pick?

Arm lengths
Ryan Clady 36 3/4" - instant starter at LT and looking to be a franchise LT
Orlando Pace 36 1/4" - instant starter at LT and franchise LT for Rams for many years
Sebastian Vollmer ? - Anybody know his exact arm measurements? He's looked good so far and began starting games about midseason after Light got hurt.
Phil Loadholt 36 1/2" - instant starter at RT for Vikings

Man just imagine how set this team would be if we had taken Loadholt instead of Brace in round 2! We'd have had monster bookend tackles for the next decade!

34. Patrick Chung
40. Ron Brace
41. Darius Butler
54. Phil Loadholt
58. Sebastian Vollmer

How about Tony Washington from Abilene Christian as a sleeper?
6'6 311 lbs and 35.5" arms.

Note that although Abilene Christian is a small school, 2 NFL players have made it from there to the NFL.

Knox, Johnny WR 6'0" 185 Abilene Christian 5 (140) Bears
Scott, Bernard RB 5'10" 200 Abilene Christian 6 (209) Bengals

Do you really think Cody has put 20lbs back on since the Senior Bowl just three weeks ago?

Rumour is he's lost another 10lbs.

33 1/4-inch arm length and 10 5/8-inch hands according to CBSSports.com. Probably measured at his Pro Day.

if he is smart he will drop 10 lbs and be 360. witch is not that bad. for a NT wilfork, is a biscuit a way from 400lbs

That was his East-West Shrine Game weigh-in.

Interesting take on arm length .. Not much difference between Munroe & Smith .. - The ClanRam Forums

Check out the list of draftees from Texas schools | NFL | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

From that pic it appears that Washington is playing too high - the defender is underneath him and has all the leverage. Also, his feet are off the ground. That can't be good for a blocker. ;)

Appears that the little guy got into his pads on that play. But we're not seeing the entire play so we don't know if he recovered or if his guy got past him. Hard to judge a guy on just 1 frame of 1 play though. I'd like to see some film to get a better idea of how he moves and his technique in general. He's a converted defensive end, so perhaps he hasn't had as much experience as other OTs in this draft. Physically though, he appears to have the right build for an OT in the NFL. I'm sure drill results for the OL will be coming soon.

Of course. Hence the ;) at the end of my post - which was really more a comment on the maybe not so good choice of that particular still to promote the guy.

Yes, no doubt! They are going to do the same thing that Saban did when Mt. Cody reported to Alabama at over 400 pounds, plug him in at starter and let him play from day one. In two years Mt. Cody has lost around 50 pounds.

People will talk about Cody's conditioning, but remember in 2009 Wilfork played 51% of the defensive snaps. Mt. Cody can easily play 51% of our defenses snaps and play the run BETTER than Wilfork.

This is a no brainer, we need Mt. Cody in the middle of our defense. Mt. Cody made McClain look like superman, mainly because McClain never saw an offensive lineman. The opposing offensive lineman were all trying to move Cody, this allowed McClain to roam free sideline to sideline.

Now imagine what Mt. Cody could do for a faster ILB; like "No big plays" Mayo????????

Good post, well put.

Sergio Kindle measured in at "only" 6-2 7/8 and 250 pounds. Texas listed him at 6-4 and 255. That's not exactly BB's prototypcial OLB-size . :D
