Not sure if this was pointed out during the week because I could'nt stomach reading the newspaper last week, but I remember the following mentioned after the afc championship game last year.

9:26 pm: Interesting…it seems that Indy turned off the Air Conditioning in the RCA dome, and now it’s very hot and humid inside the stadium. This could have been a strategy by stadium maintenance crew. If Indy wins, somebody get a game ball to the janitor in section 109.

My question is, if this is true, are the Colts cheaters?

No the colts would never ever do anything to get a competitive edge in a game. Tony Dungy and Peyton Manning just don't do that. Only evil Bill Belichick does this stuff.

Good point Mr.Walnuts. I was in Indy for the AFC championship last year and could tell that their was a gradual increase in temperature as the game went on. Commish Goodell can't tell me that that is ethical behavior. How about all those teams in the 80's sending strippers to the opposing teams hotel rooms. This video scandal has gotten too much play and is just an attempt to upset the patriots chemistry. What people don't understand is that this team strive off of adversity. Keep crying NFL.

This rumour was discussed quite a bit after the game last year. I never suspected it having any merit--it seems like something which be as likely to affect both teams, possibly backfire...certainly domes must feel different than outdoor stadiums, and it is possible that the temp was slightly higher for an accidental reason. I don't know, but all the evidence was circumstantial, and no more proven than the stuff said about us.

I do think, however, that the Patriots may have felt like the temperature was out of whack given how many had a virus...which may have felt like fever, excess sweats, dehydration, etc.

Bad timing for the illness, I believe, more than subterfuge on the Colts.

Its easy enough to determine what happened. All buildings like the Dome have a computerized climate control system which records settings and temperature data over time. All we need to do is get Goodell to demand the Colts turn over these records and we'll have the answer.

good point. Its just another example of how NFL teams will do anything to get an edge. Polian had the rusl changed and that didn't work so he decided to chage the weather. He also put a hit out on Flutie, but im sure that was jus "gamesmenship"

well one thing is for sure..if that happened saint dungy wouldnt have known anything about it.

Tony Dungy's take on the issue "It was clearly a gesture from the Lord"
