OT: I'm back.
Some of you probably won't remember me because I didn't post that much to begin with, but some of you probably remember my famous meltdown/nervous breakdown after we lost Super Bowl 42. Without getting into too much personal info, I suffer from depression, and losing to the Giants again at the last second set me off. I was drinking down bottles of Smithwicks like it was going out of style for almost a week. Then I realized "It's just a game that I have no part of and am just watching on tv."
Am in love with this year's team because they remind me of the 03-04 teams, especially if the offense starts clicking. I think Belichick got rid of Welker because 1.)Welker himself said that there was tension between him and Belichick and the coaches/owners 2.)Belichick realized we had become a slightly better version of the Colts and wanted to start from scratch even if it meant taking a step backward offensively.
Mayo loss hurts A LOT, teams are running right up the gut on us now, but the defense still has playmakers in the secondary, not just Talib, but McCourty and Dennard too, and they have the best pass defense I remember since the dynasty days.
I just hope Brady and the receivers get it together even a little. He should have better than a 70 something passer rating and 55 completion percentage and 9 TDs. If he can get it up in the 80s with a 57/58 completion percentage and finish the year with 3,800-4,000 yards, 24 TDs, 12 INT that's fine with me and means we are where we should be come playoff time.
Go Pats! And can't wait to see another Manning face in November and in the playoffs in January.
