With today's victory, the Patriots have assured themselves of finishing no worse than 8-8 this season. This is the 19th season of the last 20 that they have done so; the only losing season in that bunch was Belichick's first, the 2000 Pats who finished 5-11.

My high school years plus the 8th grade consisted of the team winning 19 total games. Never would I have thought that this team would become the next Cowboys, the next 49ers, the next Steelers. It's been an amazing ride, and one I'll always look back on fondly. Let's hope it keeps going for a while longer....

I can envision myself as the annoying grandfather... "Back in my day, they used to win all the time. It got so bad that the league even made up scandals to stop them from winning, and it didn't even help!"

Yup, not a coincidence that Bob Kraft bought this team 21 years ago. It all started with Parcells, Bledsoe, Coates and Martin, and has continued for 20 years. What a wonderful ride it's been. Hopefully it continues for 10 more years

Us old timers can really appreciate 19 out of 20 years of at least 8-8 record. I became a fan in 1975, and though my early fandom went through some exciting years (1976, 1985), there were A LOT of lean years with horrible ownership, coaching and play. We really are blessed.
