Jets CB Brandon Stephens: Interception-less season hard to believe, we're taking it personally

The Jets missing the playoffs in 2025 was nothing new as the team hasn't advanced to the postseason since 2010, but the path they took to 3-14 had at least one unique aspect.

They became the first team to complete an entire NFL season without their defense intercepting a pass by an opposing quarterback. It’s a new season, but cornerback Brandon Stephens said this month that the ignominious record has served as some motivation for the team as they prepare for the fall.​

“It’s hard to believe that could happen, but it happened,” Stephens said, via the team’s website. “At the end of the season, you keep it in the back of your mind, but you flush it so it doesn’t happen again. All the guys are taking it personally because it’s part of our nature.”​

This belongs here. One primary reason, beyond the obvious environmental health issues of the workplace, that the Jets keep eating coaches and QB's and high draft picks and won loss records.

I don't generally contribute to this thread, but in doing my daily trip to PFT I saw a story that was just SO Jetsty that I had to repeat it.

The Jet will hold just ONE open to the public practice for their fans this season, plus 6 more for season ticket holders (damned elitists). While we are tied for first in the league with 13 open practices and IIRC one just for season ticket holders. So typical for the Jets organization to thumb its nose at their own fan base who have stuck with them through th...., well just thin for longer than any other professional sports team's city has without a playoff appearance.

They never cease to disappoint.
