I gotta ask, how did the Jets go from regular AFC championship appearances to this complete flaming dumpster? They’re making the Jags look like a model franchise...hell, looks like they are trying to become the new Cleveland.

What you should be asking is how they ever broke the stank cycle long enough to make it to a couple of AFC championship games. The Jete have only managed to post 15 winning seasons in the past FIFTY years. The Jete aren't becoming the new Cleveland, the Brownies just temporarily out jeted the Jete. When it comes to epic futility over any substantial amount of time only the Washington Generals have out jeted the Jete.

The jete really are amazing, they hire someone who has never won and fired by his previous employers and put him in charge of the organization. It exemplifies the jete and why they suck, its just inbred in the people who own and work for this loser of an organization. The jete and their fans deserve every bit of what we've posted about them.

Surprised not to find a thread on this. It even made the DC sports headlines on WTOP.

NY Times opening paragraph (emphasis added):
“Less than three weeks after the Jets gave General Manager Mike Maccagnan responsibility to oversee their all-important draft selections, they fired him, a stunning move by a team already noted for a long history of mismanagement.“

And later in the article:
“Replacing a general manager so soon after the draft, in any sport, is often interpreted as a sign of organizational bungling and disarray.”

Would love to know how their fans are taking this genius move...
