Every NFL Owner should just shut the **** up

Is he seriously comparing an allergic reaction to asprin to how a human may have a high tolerance to repetitive head trauma?

"I believe this: that the game has always been a risk, you know, and the way certain people are. Look at it. You take an aspirin, I take an aspirin, it might give you extreme side effects of illness and your body ... may reject it, where I would be fine. So there is so much we don't know," he told the Journal.

These guys are desperate to throw cold water on anything that might disrupt the public's confidence in the game. My goodness.

Aspirin???

Confirmed: Irsay is exactly as stupid as I assumed he was.

"The only thing we know and always knew is when you strap on that helmet and go out on the field, boy you know you are taking a risk, but the reward is something. It's worth it"

Quite frankly, it's disgusting to hear these billionaire fatass owners saying that it's "worth the risk" for the players to play the game. Was it worth it for Kevin Turner? Or Junior Seau? Or the hundreds of other players who lost their lives way too early? Was it worth it for their families? Was it worth it for all those players from the 70s who are now half-crippled and living in near poverty?

What the hell does a scumbag like Jim Irsay know about risk? His rich daddy handed him an NFL team, and then he sat back and spent his life in a cloud of booze and pills.

F these owners. They are among the lowest forms of human life

The owners gain financial profit from this sport, but we gain entertainment. Some of the comments coming from ownership (and the idiot commissioner) are despicable, but I'm not sure anyone's hands are entirely clean if this sport is as dangerous as some say it is.

so you're blaming the fans again?

why don't you just apply for King Of The Universe now and spare us the rest of your interminable platitudes.

The NFL was in position decades ago to help shed some light on the true dangers of the sport, perhaps even work towards amelioration. You going to blame us fans for their obfuscations too?

Basically saying (between hits from the meth pipe), hey we don't know how much playing football damages the brain, so let's say it's none.

Imagine what the Rams fans in STL say about Kronke

One of Kronke's buddies

...like he's hurting for money

Dumb and Dumber

FIRE who screwed up the Browns.....Oh wait!!!

Are you going to fire Jay Gruden now? He benched RGIII and got Washington in the playoffs.

Mike Brown: "Nobody knows what concussions are" Ask Chris Henry..

Absolutely not, but now we are all well aware of the health dangers posed to the participants of this sport so none of us have any plausible deniability anymore.

Your own quite said "Quite frankly, it's disgusting to hear these billionaire fatass owners saying that it's "worth the risk" for the players to play the game. Was it worth it for Kevin Turner? Very eloquent. Very persuasive. And yet you watch. You've decided your own personal entertainment is more important than the safety and well being of the players. As have I.

As a pharmacist I face-palmed when I read this news, couldn't he have chosen a drug with more intensive side effects? I mean COME ON... the one time I can be relevant and you give us low hanging fruit.

You suck Irsay.

Edit:
On a side note maybe someone had referenced Reye's syndrome to him. It can cause brain injury in children.

I wonder how many aspirins he took every time the patriots destroy the colts .

1. Of the five richest owners, four of them own objectively ****ty teams. That's great.

2. Mark Davis' hair. What the ****. How is that allowed to happen?

Honestly, my enjoyment of pro football has withered in the past year, in part due to the awful media coverage of Deflategate and some really disconcerting comments by NFL execs and owners.

At this point, I'd much rather just watch the NBA. The refs may be ****ty, but aside from Mark Cuban, the owners mostly keep to themselves. Not to mention the Celtics are so much fun to root for!
