OT: Peyton in demand?

Does anyone here agree??

Haha, wtf? Why would anyone want to hire Manning as their team president? He has no experience in that role, and there's no reason to believe that he would be any good at it. I would love to see this happen, just to watch him be a terrible executive and screw up whatever team was dumb enough to hire him.

I'd not want him in the front office of the team I cheer for.

I think Peyton would do well to take some time off football, after his retirement.

Still, I don't know if he knows the intricacies of commanding a Football Operation. Learning how the cap works, managing people's egos, Coaching conflicts and all that. Still, I doubt anyone on the Titans or the Browns do, so he may be a good fit.

If he takes sometime to study, Manning showed he is somewhat intelligent, he could work... Still, I see him being better as an OC somewhere (Maybe he could work as a QB coach before?), he understands the playing field well

Honestly I could see him as a qb coach, OC in the future, or a guy that can breakdown film and how you should attack the opposing team. But otherwise I don't know if I could see him in the FO

Thread title is a bit misleading.

The guy that constantly yells at his teammates and blames them for his mistakes as a GM? That's a terrible idea.

This is like 80% of the world in any profession. That's why 20% of the NFL (and the worlds' companies) are successful. The rest are doomed to fail because of awful hiring process. I wish I could fire all my bosses.

you guys need to snap out of it. peyton manning was a great player and a great football mind. im sure he will do well anything football related. i really don't get the peyton manning hate. i respect da heck out of him.

As much as I don't care for the guy, I really hope he doesn't go to Cleveland...no one deserves that punishment.

I think Peyton needs to go to his time out chair and get some insight into what is talking place. This could lead to him ending life like Bin Laden, alone on an earthen floor watching old video tapes of your greatest moments. Our it could lead to some clarity, where, he recognizes how sick society has become of him and he disappears to help Giovanni Carmotti teach yoga and herd goats.

I still don't know what makes people feel that Manning will be a good front office person. I still think the jury is out on Elway. Others former players have had mixed results. You could end up with Ozzie Newsome or could end up with Matt Millen or anywhere in between.

If he goes that route he goes to the Colts as the president ... they don't have one since Polian.

Titans are a possibility ... don't see him going to the Browns.

Whoever offers Peyton the highest compensation is where he ends up.

It's shocking that an article like that and like this would come out not even a week after Peyton's historic performance. Shocking I tell you.

I doubt there was interest. I bet there's some now.

Honestly this seems like PR 101. First it was all the stories of the injuries. Now we have stories about how the Broncos didn't support him and about his greatness.

Let's be honest, this is Manning floating it out there to make it seem like teams want him. When in reality it's him telling teams he wants a front office job.
