@Miguel put together this list of Patriots eligible for the practice squad. It is a good reference if you are doing a 53-man projection.

I do have a question about Jake Bequette; according to Patriots.com, he has only been on the active game day roster 8 games in 2 seasons, which is less than the required 9 to be PS eligible. What disqualifies Bequette?

He had two accrued seasons

Reviewed the CBA again. I now think that Bequette is eligible.

IMO the CBA language on practice squad eligibility is confusing and misleading, especially when it comes to players with multiple seasons of <9 games under their belts. I've tried to assemble a list like this in the past but always made mistakes and ultimately gave up. Many thanks for undertaking it!

List now includes reason why I think that the player is eligible

keep in mind, at least one of those players is going to end up in Carolina.

Should be stickied for the rules alone. I am constantly reading posters opine that Ryan Wendell or Kembrell Thompkins or Joe Vellano should be snuck on to the practice squad this year.

Will add to the list why the aforementioned trio are ineligible

Here is one more Practice Squad possibility:

Healthy Morris latches on with Patriots | Hawk Central

Unlike the first time when he arrived at the New England Patriots’ training facility in May, former Iowa linebacker James Morris is now healthy and ready to play football.
Morris’ father, Greg Morris, said Saturday night that James has signed another free-agent contract with New England after the team had released him on May 20.

James Morris signed a previous contract with the Patriots, but was released just four days after signing it because of what Greg Morris described at the time as a medical issue without being specific.

Greg Morris confirmed Saturday that James was treated for a blood clot in his leg at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after being released by New England.

“We’re extremely happy,” Greg Morris said. “James has gotten through his medical issues and he now has the opportunity that he’s been looking for.

Morris was an All-Big 10 last year and during his career at Iowa had 400+ tackles, 10½ sacks and six interceptions. Last season he was a team captain and was second on the team with 107 total tackles, eight sacks and four interceptions. He was a first-team academic All-America as a senior last year, and academic all-Big Ten in each of last his last three seasons.

He probably got a recommendation from Iowa Coach too. Being captain and Academic All American fits BB's profile of a Patriot player as well.

Added Morris to the list.
