I think the Pats will always be a dangerous opponent for anybody to deal with. Why? Because we have an explosive offense and a young, athletic defense that has the potential to make some big plays.
However, I *hate* this matchup this week. Several reasons:
1. The Pats aren't very good on the road. We don't need to beat this to death, but we all know the Pats' road record the past couple of seasons isn't anything to brag about.
2. They always have trouble in Miami. I don't know why this is, but Miami hasn't been a good place for Brady to play. Under Brady, the Pats are just 3-5 in Miami (they won the year he was hurt and Cassel was the QB).
3. Miami's offense is the kind that could give the Pats real problems. Good running game (better than what Buffalo had this past week), a capable (if unspectacular) QB, and a very big-time WR that we have no adequate cover for.
4. The Dolphins are coming off a tough loss to the Jets and don't want to lose two consecutive home divisional games. As has been said, the desperate team more often than not ends up winning, and I see Miami as more "desperate" (if you can call the 4th game of the season featuring two 2-1 teams a "desperate" situation) than the Pats are.
I'm usually wrong when I make predictions, but I see the Pats losing by 10 this week. I really hope I'm wrong again, but I don't like this situation at all.
