Really gotta hand it to you... after last night's performance you've helped transform a team that desparately lacked the type of "no respect" motivational factor that's helped bring 3 Super Bowl rings to New England into a team that looks poised to send their OWN message to Roger Goodell by embarrassing opponents week after week.

After last night I'm even beginning to believe that the wealth of locker room material being provided by "ignorant" players, coaches and commentators as Brady calls them, can help propel this team to a perfect season. If that happens Manjudas will be one of the primary guy's we'll all want to thank. I'm sure the Jets fans will appreciate that too.

Meanwhile with every game the Jets lose we know you'll want to continue to divert attention away from your poor coaching and preparation with more suggestions of scandal... so keep it up!

Two games into the season and you're already two games behind in the AFC East standings. Well done.

We should all applaud him when he walks onto the field December 16th....on second thought let's heckle him

When I used to live in NYC, occasionally you'd see these union protests on the streets in front of businesses. You know it because they have this giant inflatable rat they put up that practically blocks the sidewalk.

Oh, if somehow we could put that on the opposing team sideline when Manjudas and co. come!

Actually, we're 2 1/2 games up on them, what with the tie-breaker and all.

, my 7 year old has a little toy furry rat he plays with - I call it Mangini now. My kid is clueless but it amuses me greatly.

Actually, The crowd should go deathly silent for a minute. If there is anything Scarier its 65000 people going dead silent at your presence.......

Heckling him will only give him the attention his ego craves.

I really like the Rat Manjudas. It is far better t hat hteh Ratfinkgini that I have been using.

Permission to use when appropriate?

Manjudas
certainly goes to the heart of the matter.

I've been calling him "Rat Boy" since he joined the Jets.

Much better than Mangina. I love women too much to insult them by associating them in any way with Mangini.

I wish people would stop using that one.

Hey, that's a good point. I thought it was a funny play on his name, but Manjudas fits him SO much better.

Sure enough - its clear that Manjudas might have shot himself in the foot with this... all the Jets fans can thank him if we run the table and take our rightful place in the record books.

BELICHICK, PATS PISSED OFF

Though there still could be some more consequences down the road from last week's spy scandal, the controversy that arose last week -- and the media scrutiny that it caused -- has had a significant effect on the franchise.

As one league insider explained it on Monday afternoon, "[Coach Bill] Belichick is pissed, and he wants to go undefeated."

After trashing two of the other five 2006 AFC playoff teams by the identical score of 38-14 on consecutive Sundays, the Patriots clearly have the talent to run the table. A storm of accusations arising from past tactics is giving Belichick all the incentive that he needs to aim for a 16-0, and all the ammo he'd require to get the troops appropriately motivated.

The on-field leader of the troops already is on board with the chip-on-the-shoulder routine, as evidenced by his Monday comments on WEEI radio in Boston. According to the Boston Herald, quarterback Tom Brady lashed out at the critics, calling any suggestion that he received advance information "absurd."

"By no means am I sitting here getting plays and getting defenses and checking plays based on defenses that I'm getting. That's completely absurd," Brady said. "If that was the case, I think that's just ridiculous. You know, I hear other players, based on what I've heard on television, that 'Brady's getting defenses.' I'm saying, 'That's just ridiculous.'

"But like I said, we pick our battles, and the ones that we are most capable of fighting are the ones we play. Rather than respond with words, we respond through actions. It was a long week because you hear this, but at the same time, people will see."

Apart from the possibility that the Pats will ride the "us against the world" train long enough to bogart the bubbly from the members of the 1972 Dolphins, we think that Belichick or Brady or someone needs to explain exactly what the purpose of videotaping the defensive signals was, if Brady is telling the truth.

Then again, it could be that Brady was only ever told what plays to run and/or which defenders to watch for; such an approach prevents players from knowing too much about the shenanigans, and helps to perpetuate within the locker room the notion that the coaches are super-geniuses.

That latest PFT sounds like Polian or someone intentionally trying to amp up the pressure on the Patriots, who will no doubt NOT fall for it. That's the kind of distraction teams are trying to generate now? F you, NFL. One game at a time.

Eric the Rat has a kind of legendary ring to it, sort of like Ivan the Terrible. But you're right, Rat Manjudas is cool.

I had actually been thinking of Eric "The Judas" Mangina but like were this is going better. How about ERat Manjudas?

I'm also wondering where the tabloid press is on this. I would think that having a real live Judas would be just the kind of thing they suck up on.
