I totally agree. I was just pointing out that as much as the Broncos d was good that game, brady still moved the ball and put them in a position to win. Since this discussion was about wade Phillips vs brady, it wasnt like he shut him out that day.
They really should have one that game. Twice they were deep in field goal range late in the 4th the tried on 4th down and failed rather than an easy field goal. If Bill kicks a field goal on either of those possessions, they don't need the 2 point conversion at the end. If I remember correctly...
That or remand back to NFL for a n appeal before a neutral arbitrator. Then people wouldn't be able to say "it doesn't prove he's innocent, it was only the process"
I think you kick the fg with 6 mins to go. You're definitely getting at least one more possession, and you'd be down 5, down 8, or down 12, but how the defense was going in the second half, I'd take the chances.
yeah, this was better written than anything else they have put out so far. I could see a pro-management judge siding with it. The only hope i have is even though they make a compelling argument against the NFLPA's stance that it wasnt equipment violation, especially since Kessler on record said...
what scary about our legal system, you read all this legal analysis, all these sports law people mocking the NFL arguments, then they end with "well it really will depend on the judge and if they favor management".
Wow. That scares me that a judge can have their personal preferences dictate...
I am pretty excited about the pats signing him. When Asante Cleveland was promoted, I was bummed. I was hoping to see what Fauria could do.
If Gronk misses Sundays game, will they go with Chandler/Williams/ Cleveland?
Williams missed the Broncos game with a knee injury, so it will be...
And they both play Pittsburgh, who is the only team left on either of their schedules I can see beating either team.
Best case scenario, Cincy beats denver, pittsburgh beats cincy. they are all 13-3 and pats are 14-2
yeah i think this is correct, but it is very strange. He doesn't appear to be injured when he gets up to celebrate, but on the touchdown run, you can see him limping very clearly. He is on the left side of the formation
interesting article for sure, but the performance data is from '98-'02, i'd like to think the medical industry has improved dramatically in the last 15 years.
as others have pointed out, AP, gronk, and many other players look like they havent missed a beat.
To add to this a bit, according to the wellsreportcontext, they didn't deny them the interview, they asked Wells why they requested another interview, and asked if it could be done over the phone. The spin is the patriots "refused it", when in reality they simply said, "why do you want him...
i think that was my point of posting, though. he tends to be anti-belichick, and buys into the cheating thing, but even he is still taking the position that it has little to do with their success. i've read better articles as well, but those tend to be from "pro-patriots" sources, he is far from it.
I know he isn't popular, but I enjoy his TMQ articles...
he does seem to hint that the pats do cheat early on, but still says even if they do, it isn't why they are good.
