  1. Armchair Quarterback

    NFL Free Agency Thread

I'm clicking on open link in new tab and it's opening that way.
  2. Armchair Quarterback

    NFL Free Agency Thread

Is there a reason I can't read any of these quoted tweets - it just says loading tweet? Is it ADBLOCK? I'm not getting what people are responding to. Sounds like Kearse is in play? Matthews and Sanu also? I can live with Sanu but there needs to be an additional WR as well. Hoping to hear Pats...
  3. Armchair Quarterback

Broncos assign original round tender to CJ Anderson

Interesting. I'm assuming because he's a RFA as well, the penalty for signing him is the RFA tender (which is nothing since he was an UDFA) so he wouldn't count as a UFA signing for comp pick purposes.
  4. Armchair Quarterback

    Diamonds in the rough

I like Brian Quick at WR. Tim Hightower as RB depth.
  5. Armchair Quarterback

Top FA/trade targets for the Patriots

Top free agent TE on the market if he makes it to FA. Pats paid Chandler $3.250,000 this year. We've already had this discussion, no sense in going back and forth on it again.
  6. Armchair Quarterback

Top FA/trade targets for the Patriots

Marvin Jones would be a great fit in this offense, you'd be paying for what he would be doing, not what he has done. I think he could very realistically get 100o-1200 yards and 10 TDs in this offense, if it could get done with say a 5 year 30-35 million, not much more than they gave Amendola in...
  7. Armchair Quarterback

    Brandon LaFell, Scott Chandler Released

Good, time to move on with both.
  8. Armchair Quarterback

Pats angling to get picks back?

Because that's the right arena for this fight, right? Tucked way in a place where people have to search out and read 20,000 odd words on a website. News flash, nobody except Patriot fans will read it, not the NFL, not other owners and not 99% of the media. So good luck with the passive approach...
  9. Armchair Quarterback

Would you like Coby Fleener as a no2 TE?

Bills fans, I would assume, were happy to get rid of Chandler in and of itself. Clay, while overpaid, had some injury issues and their whole offense wasn't very good. Going forward, I'm sure they're happy to have Clay over Chandler, even if he's not worth the money. I'm putting very little stock...
  10. Armchair Quarterback

Would you like Coby Fleener as a no2 TE?

Bills fans saw him play on a regular basis, they saw 4-5 years of the guy we saw last year. He's not good.
  11. Armchair Quarterback

Would you like Coby Fleener as a no2 TE?

Fleener will likely resign with the Colts. The price tag for TE's is already pretty high this offseason and I'm sure the Colts and their dipshit GM will be willing to pay Fleener as a TE1 more than the Patriots would as a TE2. Secondly, Fleener has poor hands and is not a good route runner so...
  12. Armchair Quarterback

Would you like Coby Fleener as a no2 TE?

Ok, but here's the thing, I thought he sucked all along so I don't know you're referring to as you people. If 9 drops in two games is your idea of a competent backup I don't know what to tell you other than it's not good, especially when you add in his non existent blocking. Fleener isn't all...
  13. Armchair Quarterback

Would you like Coby Fleener as a no2 TE?

No, a competent blocker would be a nice start, catching what's thrown to him would be nice too. Chandler got close to half his stats in the two games Gronk missed. 9-119-2 out of 23-259-4. Don't be fooled by his stats though as he had 9 drops in those two games as well.
  14. Armchair Quarterback

Peter King: Why NFL Should Give Back Picks to Pats (But Won’t)

The Colts equipment guy sticking a needle in the game ball was a violation and should have made everything that took place after it irrelevant.
  15. Armchair Quarterback

The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

Why do you claim I hate Kraft every post. I disagree with his actions. You seem completely incapable of separating disagreeing with hate. Very simplistic way of looking at things. Or maybe it's just that you can't make a viable argument otherwise.
  16. Armchair Quarterback

The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

Because either his gullibility is incomprehensible or his loyalties lie elsewhere, neither is what you want from someone who has final say for the franchise. Why does everyone else have to feel the same way you feel?
  17. Armchair Quarterback

The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

That would never happen over this. The further along this went, the worse the NFL would have looked. Even if you're not going to use it (suing), you don't give it up right away. You at least use the threat of it to give yourself some leverage. Kraft didn't even get in one punch before surrendering.
