PostGame Thread OFFICIAL POSTGAME THREAD: Patriots Beat the Giants 33-15 (10th Straight Win)

I thought the same; it looked like the 2nd foot and knee hit the turf simultaneously. Thankfully there wasn’t enough evidence to overturn the call on the field. Both Williams and Boutte had great TD catches last night!

    Thielen waived. Sign the beast?

The Pats could kick Chism to the curb or send him down to the PS as he does nothing for the team now but I don’t really see the point. Do they really need Thielen as an inactive WR6? I suppose he could take a few snaps away from Williams but he doesn’t know this offensive system so I don’t...

Who is better Vrabel or Reid?

There’s nothing wrong with Reid right now. He’s a top tier HC for sure. We’ll see about the SB. Obviously KC will be a very dangerous playoff team if they make it in.

Content Post Idle thoughts: the "one-step back" edition

I think Maye is allowed to have a bad half of football occasionally. I mean what QB hasn’t. I think the rest of the season is going to be tough sledding due to the injuries. Now we’ll see what kind of coaching staff we really have. I’m interested to see how they scheme up the next few games...

Who is better Vrabel or Reid?

If you mean right now…I’d lean towards Vrabel. If we’re talking overall coaching career, then Reid is the obvious choice. I voted Vrabel as I took it you meant right now.

Do we have a Pro-Bowl/All-Pro kicker in the making?

Borregales has certainly looked the part as a legit NFL kicker since the first couple of games (rookie K nerves). I doubt he’ll be a pro bowl K this season but I can see it in his near future if he keeps up his current form. Now let’s see how he performs in the play-offs

PostGame Thread OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD: Patriots beat Bengals 26-20

They’re not going to all of sudden play Chism because Campbell is out of the lineup. Yes, maybe the Pats might look to adjust the offense due to the likely scenario that the left side of the line is going to be out for a while, but I seriously doubt that is going to include Chism in any way...

PostGame Thread OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD: Patriots beat Bengals 26-20

Chism has chances to earn PT in each and every practice. The coaching staff isn’t just going to “give him a chance”; he has to earn it like everyone else. If he was good enough, he’d see game day snaps. He’s our WR6. And now it looks like he’s lost his KR job to Williams.

PostGame Thread OFFICIAL POST GAME THREAD: Patriots beat Bengals 26-20

Chism’s not seeing the field as a WR unless there are injuries to the WR corps. And it looks like he lost his KR spot to Williams who looked much more explosive than Chism ever has. He’ll probably be a game day healthy scratch for the rest of the season.

    Time to repent

You’re not the only one who has noticed this. The 4.7 speed with almost no twitch or wiggle is very obvious. I just don’t see a KR who can break the big one and take it to the house. At least he’s not coughing up the football so I think Vrabel is ok with that for this season. Also, I can’t see...

Stephen A Smith goes off on rant against Drake Maye

No one with a shred of intelligence should take Screamin’ A. Smith seriously. Shows like First Take, Felger & Mazz etc., are just for comedy and nothing more.

PATRIOTS NEWS Bradyn Swinson promoted to the 53: Have we found our edge rusher?

No one really knows until he suits up and plays his first snaps in an actual NFL game. The coaches obviously see something because they elevated him to the 53 man roster but let’s see what that actually leads to.

NFL News NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

Totally…the funny thing is that we all know the Jets will still find a way to f@ck this up!

NFL News NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

This definitely remains to be seen. In the end, this will be a loose/loose scenario for both teams. Sauce isn’t worth anything close to 2 first rounders and the Jets are the Jets. This is could actually pay dividends for the Pats now and down the line.

NFL News NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

Heard the Colts gave up two 1st rd picks for Gardner…he’s a very good CB, not elite, and certainly not worth that price. This will come back and bite the Colts in the @ss.

NFL News NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

This is a terrible take. The Pats are 7-2; first place in the division and currently the #2 seed in the AFC. Plus we have one of the easiest, if not the easiest, remaining schedule in the NFL. He’s not gonna come out and announce it to the world, but of course Vrabel thinks the Pats are a...

Do you wish our schedule was tougher?

There really aren’t “easy schedules” in the NFL. You have to come ready to play every week or you risk losing no matter the opponent. Of course there are always 2-3 bottom feeders in the NFL that should be wins (Jets, Carolina etc.,), but they’re still professionals and normally aren’t...

Patriots need to get more out of Henderson

White looked totally lost his first 2 or 3 years in the league; regardless of what RB was in front of him. Thankfully he figured it out. You’re right about Henderson having a clearer path but he’s still reminding me of White early on. The Pats obviously are being patient because they know that...

NFL News NFL Trade Deadline Discourse

I agree. Henderson will be a really good player but it might take him a season or two to adjust to the NFL level…similar to the James White early years. The one thing that concerns me a little is that Henderson seems to be a straight north/south runner with not a lot of wiggle or escapability...

Another Taboo Elephant! [Mac Jones playing well in SF]

Mac Jones is now showing exactly who he is…a capable back-up who can step in as a spot starter for a few games and not totally screw your team up. He’s fine in that role as long as you recognize his overall limitations and give him a game manager type game plan. Happy to see that he’s found a...
