    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

Here's my draft predictions just a few days out... Based on guys I think Vrabel would like, team needs, or our 30 visits: I think Campbell and Sawyer would really bring DAWGS to both sides of the ball. Could also see them taking Noel at 38 and picking up a pass rusher in R3 instead.

Poll: Who Is your Pick At 38?

I'm guessing Golden won't fall into the 20's where I think we should trade up for him. I was praying we'd climb into the 20's for Brian Thomas Jr last year but they went down instead, and took quantity over quality - of course also passing on Ladd. This year I pray we go the other way - we have...

Draft worst case has emerged for Pats at 4

It's too late to change it... and pointless crying - but now that I'm here and a few beers deep let me tell you how I really feel.... It was krafts fault. Honestly if I'm an owner and the choice between winning a meaningless game and gaining the no1 overall pick in the draft is on the table then...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

I'm guessing the chances are low that we'd trade back up into R1 for a WR like Golden, given that we didn't meet with him for a 30 visit? He just strikes me as the next guy in a long line of WR that fans could tell would be a baller, yet our front office passed on/wouldn't make a small trade up...

Greg Bedard seems to think the Pats may be making a blockbuster trade soon

Hunter seems nailed on to CLE, Carter to NYG at this point though, even more so after todays rumblings around the league.. we'd have to blow CLE away to get their 2nd overall pick and we won't do that because Vedarian Lowe could get Drake Maye killed.

Greg Bedard seems to think the Pats may be making a blockbuster trade soon

I would guess we'd go to 2 for Hunter if the Browns are happy taking the remainder of Sanders or Carter and both sides are happy on compensation. But then we'd be very low on ammo as we likely have to get back into R1 to get a LT - for this reason I don't see it happening as Hunter isn't...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

I'd be happy with Campbell if they've run it by Scar that he can play LT for us. Even though he himself doesn't agree O line is worth a top 5 pick - easy for him to say because he could make a solid line out of mid round JAGs.
  8. Pacific Coast Patriot

Abdul Carter at 4#. Hunter has gone do we trade?

It really is too bad the schedule had us end vs a team that wasn't trying to win. If we got Travis Hunter, it would've been the first time since Irving Fryar in 1984 that we'd have drafted a skill position player in the top 5 on offense (excluding QB). Wow - 41 years. The only other offensive...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

I tend to agree with you. Drake Maye being upright is critical. Unfortunately because we failed to address LT last season, and then Ronnie Stanley & the rest weren't actually available this season, we've put ourselves in a corner where we have to go O line at the expense of a blue chip stud...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

Well, they shut him down but it left the passing game pretty open. In 2023, Jeanty caught 44-of-48 targets for 578 yards and five touchdowns, with zero drops. The most receiving yards of any running back in the nation. He's also a great blocking RB so would help Drake out on many levels if...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

It's water under the bridge now but there were definitely a couple of plays McDermott called that made me think, "ok he's trying to stop us getting 1 overall here." If NE had punted instead of attempting a likely FG, we would have been docked our pick I'm sure of it.

Patriots Player Departure BREAKING: Joe Milton traded to Dallas

So we had a 6th rounder who balled out and cost us the 1 overall pick, but hey at least he's shown he can be a solid backup QB for us... but then we trade him for what amounts to the same as where we drafted him?! In one of the weakest QB drafts in years?? C'mon man... With Drake having...

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

He definitely seems like a Vrabel guy and Vrabel talked a lot about protecting the young QB... with Hunter/Carter off the board he does feel nailed on for us at 4, rooting for him to make it at tackle.

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

Thanks! And one draft pick that will be debated endlessly I'm sure if it works out that way. Personally Campbell seems like a great teammate and I'm rooting for him to be a franchise LT all the way if we draft him.

    DRAFT NFL Draft Talk

Scenario for you - and I'll start this by saying I don't want a RB at 4 overall. Let's say we draft Campbell, and he becomes a guard because his arms are in fact too small... highly possible right? In fact historically probable. And - let's also say Jeanty becomes an all-pro back, also highly...

    Shadeur's stock is tanking

Morgan Moses was apparently a college LT and then played RT in the pros. He's deputised at LT in the NFL occasionally. Doubt they're planning on having him play LT for us at his current age, but interesting. With Campbell, its such a gamble given the precedence set at LT for wingspan - very...

    The Giants At 3

Sadly with the latest comments around the league it seems Hunter/Carter are not falling to us unless Sanders has a ridiculously good pro day on Friday. Then there's a small chance. I was convinced until today the Browns would take Sanders given they only have Kenny Pickett.. but their owner...

    The Giants At 3

I still think the Browns are taking Sanders at 2. 1 Rookie QB only way to move on given the Watson cap situation 2 he fits Stefankski's offense 3 They told garrett they know the plan at QB 4 Do the words Kenny Pickett mean anything to you? 5 Carter isnt without risks - injuries, rumoured for...
  19. Pacific Coast Patriot

Are you all in on CB Travis Hunter at 4 (Hunter as a WR?)

Wilson signed in NY because Sanders goes at 2. NYG take Hunter for sure, they're all in with Nabers, Hunter and Wilson this year to save their jobs. Carter is ours.
  20. Pacific Coast Patriot

Draft strategy if we pick Carter

They take the blue chipper. They're taking Hunter.
