If I was looking for a DE for a 3-4, I might look to Dallas' RFA's - Spears, Hatcher and Bowen - who are all starter quality and would cost significantly less than #11 in the draft. In fact, perhaps we should consider one of them.

Bryant might be well served to sign up on a one year "show me" deal. A year in our offense and on good behavior would cure all doubts in the skeptics minds and lead to a big payday a year from now. That's assuming he can't get one now.

I think the supposed talent level between 25-30 in 2011 and 35-45 in 2010 is roughly equal, so why not add this year instead of next.

Dunlap, TBC, Warren and Wilfork doesn't seem like a lot of speed on the edges.

This WR draft class seems very deep. I'd love to take three (say a 2nd, a 4/5, and a 7th) and see how they develop along with Tate, before commtting myself to using both my #1 picks next year to get a top WR in the 2011 draft. I also have no faith in projections on sophmore WR's 14 months...

I prefer to address Moss's replacement this year with 2-3 signees/draftees and a healthy Tate. Beside, Oakland's pick alone should be sufficient to get one of Jones/Green/Floyd/Baldwin. I don't like projecting a draft 14 months out much either.

I've had yellow, black and now chocolate labs, but if I'm honest, I think a golden retriever would be the best fit for the Pats.

I like Metaphors' draft there. But I'd like to trade our 2011 #1 into the middle of the second and draft a top wideout.

For the record, I'm with BBfan. Nobody will offer up a 2nd rounder in this draft for a kicker. And if they did, I'm not sure Belichick would match. He wouldn't make a (top of the) market offer for Vinitieri, why would he do so for Gostkowski?
