    Mock draft game discussion thread

Are people forgetting about Pierre-Paul, or am I missing where he went?

    Filthy Four - version 3 - March 19, 2010

NP, though I think the NFLPA would prefer he be ruled a second round comp RFA on an orignal round tender than a first round comp RFA on original round tender.

Cowboys would receive first-round pick for Marcus Spears | Dallas Cowboys Blog | Sports News | News for Dallas, Texas | The Dallas Morning News A few of the Dallas mediots have inquired with the League Office and they have confirmed it's a first rounder. This one asserts it because Austin...

I can't yet find the place I originally read about it but here's some comments from AdamJT13 (whose reputation should preceed him around here) that at least acknowledge the current thinking is they'll get a first despite the CBA.

Would you rather see an OLB or a WR drafted in round one?

Personally, I'd prefer a WR. I just don't see an OLB worthy of a number one at this point. I like Misi, Sapp and Hughes in the second round. I think there may be a couple of receivers that warrant the #22 - Bryant, Tate, Benn. Odrick has been the pick at 22 for so long now, I have become...

    Trading up to 11?

Is there anybody that could drop to Denver's pick that you'd consider dealing 22 and 44 (or 22 and next year's #1) for?? There seems to be a good chance that one OT could slide, what if it was Davis? Pierre-Paul? Spiller?

    Linebacker - scouting the prospects

and what would we want? Pierre-Paul? CJ Spiller? I can't see it myself.

Idle thoughts - looking at the WR position

Do you know the rest of their key measurables? 40, 10-yard split, 3-cone, short shuttle and vertical?

Patriots to check out USC WR Damian Williams

you missed it. we took a punter and 8 tight ends.

    Filthy Four - version 3 - March 19, 2010

good thoughts. just don't pick Cody. we need more speed in the front seven. carrington in the 2nd would be good.

    Filthy Four - version 3 - March 19, 2010

This is wrong. Dallas was originally under this impression but the league clarified that the fact that they gave the first&third tender to Miles Austin did not prevent them from getting 1st round comp for Spears.

Pats 7 Round Mock with Commentary

Good effort and well laid out. I would be fairly excited about that draft. My only comment is that an "end of round 4" cornerback in this draft isn't going to beat out wheatley/willhite and may not beat out the uconn kid. I would prefer we invested the pick in a WR - not enough for the skill...

    Filthy Four - version 3 - March 19, 2010

I think Dallas would part with an end for less than a second. Spears is tendered at a #1 actually. They have Bowen and Hatcher tendered at a #2. They also have Olshansky at RDE.

No question where decker goes now

Lisfranc is a scarry word. It'll be interesting to see where both Decker and Thomas go given their injuries. Both were second round talent prior. I'd use a fourth or fifth rounder if they're still there.
